5 Days: No Sugar, Protein-Packed Meals Made in the Air Fryer
Share
I cannot be the only one who struggles to enjoy reaching daily protein intake, so I decided to take 5 days and focus on not falling off the bandwagon with help from Cloud 9's newest Air Fryer protein range!
Reducing sugar intake has been a big thing for me, so filling up calories with protein and tracking using My Fitness Pal will be a huge help!
Day One
Wanting to start off strong, I began intermittent fasting until 12:30 PM. The night before, I had cooked Cloud 9 pepper chicken in the air fryer and packed it for lunch. At work, I simply heated it up without adding any carbs, as the chicken with vegetables was filling enough. After this meal, I was stuffed. I had an apple in the afternoon before heading home to do chores and then sat down to a delicious crispy chicken curry with rice that evening. The generous amount of chicken in this dish made me extremely happy. I then settled down for the evening with one of Cloud 9's Snickers bars. My total calorie intake for the day was 1,247, which is excellent for me and just under my calorie deficit target.
Day Two
Day Two went almost exactly the same as Day One (a pattern will form as most weekdays are usually the same for me). However, for lunch, I was craving tuna pasta, so I had that. I snacked a little heavier in the afternoon with a Cloud 9 protein bar and a packet of Quavers. Dinner for Day Two was the Cloud 9 Beef Stir-fry, which was chef's kiss 😘 and I also tried some of my partner's Turkey Lasagne. My total calories came to 1,380, slightly higher but still within my goal.
Day Three
By Day Three, I was getting into the groove of my routine. I stuck with my intermittent fasting and had Cloud 9 pepper chicken for lunch again. It’s amazing how good it still tasted! In the afternoon, I munched on a handful of almonds and a homemade protein shake. For dinner, I tried the Cloud 9 beef stroganoff with white rice and mixed veggies. Now this- this tasted phenomenal 10/10. My total calorie intake was 1354, still keeping me on track.
Day Four
Day Four was a bit of a challenge as work was extra hectic. I managed to stick to my fasting routine and for lunch, I opted for half of Cloud 9 taco Bolognese which I paired with a simple salad. The protein kept me full and going through the rest of the day. I had a banana and a Cloud 9 protein bar as an afternoon snack. Dinner was a quick but tasty Cloud 9 Carbonara. My calorie count for the day was 1,292.
Day Five
By Day Five, I felt like I had really nailed my protein intake goals. I began my day the same way, fasting until 12:30 PM. For lunch, I had the rest of the Cloud 9 Taco Bolognese. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. In the afternoon, I treated myself to some Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey and a Cloud 9 protein bar. For dinner, I made the Cloud 9 beef and black bean, which was absolutely delicious, we then went out for ice cream to end a very good calorie week. My total calorie intake for the day was 1,388, wrapping up a successful week.
What did I learn?
These five days with Cloud 9’s Air Fryer protein range were a game-changer. Not only did I manage to hit my protein goals, but I also stayed within my calorie deficit. The meals were convenient, delicious, and kept me full throughout the day. For anyone struggling with protein intake, I highly recommend giving Cloud 9 a try. The meals were extremely handy, taking 8 minutes in the air fryer freed up my evenings to focus on housework, steps, workouts so that I can reach my goals quicker!
